*Silver Edition Flutes: For our customers who want that little something extra I offer my top-of the-line instruments. For an additional fee your flute commission will be made from my finest cedar blanks. These special pieces have been set aside because of exceptional beauty and are deserving of my closest attention to detail. One of the characteristics that I have learned about western cedar is its variation in color. Most cedar is light tan to medium pinkish brown, but occasionally in my searches for instrument-quality wood I come across rare pieces that are darker and richer in color, sometimes with reddish highlights; some have unusually beautiful grain characteristics, peculiar markings or other rare and unique qualities. These pieces are destined for special attention and will become my Silver Edition flutes. To commemorate these special ones, each instrument will be fitted with a block spacer plate of brilliant sterling silver. Its a very nice touch to my most beautiful flutes. BACK TO TOP OF PAGE
